HOW TO PICK YOUR PERFECT TEE WITH THE WHITE T-SHIRT CO

Spring has finally Sprung and it’s all about layering rather than wrapping up.

Chunky knitwear is being swapped for Soft cotton basics, so I’m here to the rescue right in time with my tried and tested cottons.

I’m sure like me, most of you have to invest in a few cotton basics every year because they’ve lost their life or no longer look white.

What makes this Brand even more of a hero is their thoughtful and ethical production. All products are organic cotton, sustainable sourced and are seriously affordable for the level of ethics and quality product.

£30-£35 isn’t the earth for a good quality, versatile T-shirt but is more than £6.99 in H&M or ZARA. However this is a well worth investment for a product that lasts, looks and feels great. I just binned all of my previous lifeless looking cottons and my white T-shirt co are the only ones left hanging in the Wardrobe.

I received these items back in November after Styling a shoot for them for the new products. I did the models hair/makeup and styled the photo-shoot for new website product shots…

I’ve been wearing them before the collection was even released and I have wore these in many ways possible every week, tested them, washed them and they are looking great for Spring arriving.

I wore them to travel to Thailand , under winter layers, for work when I am styling shoots or doing Makeup artist work, under many outfits for my blog and every day life.

THE V NECK RANGE

Everybody can look great in a V-neck, it draws the eye up and can flatter your face, silhouettes with a bigger bust or broad shoulders can also appear smaller.

The key to wearing this classic, versatile neckline is to choose the depth of the V that best fits your bust size. Thankfully The white T shirt co have perfected the V depth, it is not too low and not too high. It is just right, no need for camisoles.

WHO WILL SUIT A V-NECKLINE?

The V Neckline tops in this range will suit Hourglass, Inverted Triangle and Apple shapes best. It is especially flattering on ladies with a larger bust.

WHAT ABOUT THE SLEEVE, STYLE & FIT?

The 3/4 Length Sleeve – The 3/4 sleeve is extremely flattering if you want to draw attention to your waist, where the sleeve length finishes is where the eye is drawn to. It is a lovely stretch fit material that looks fantastic tucked into anything mid-high waisted or out over leggings. This style is available in colours black and white.

If you are very tummy conscious and don’t feel comfortable in tops that cling to your middle then I would recommend going for the V neck T instead.

The Short Sleeve V neck T – This top looks great on Apple, Hourglass, Pear and Inverted Triangle shapes. The shorter sleeve length will look great on all shapes mentioned above, however I would recommend ladies with a larger bust pairing this with a sleeved cardigan or blazer.

It is a lovely soft cotton with a relaxed fit that is flattering on everyone as long as you buy the right size. This style looks great over the top of jeans or with the front tucked in. This style is available in Black,White and a Blue/White marl mix as shown above.

WHICH BRA SHOULD YOU WEAR?

I highly recommend wearing an underwired, smooth cup T-shirt Bra with both the Tee and 3/4 sleeve V Neck to achieve the most flattering and comfortable look. This smooth shaping T shirt bra is perfect with the V neckline as it lifts and gives you shape but not in the same way a plunge bra does. Bras with too much detail and lace are NO, smooth and shaping is key. This is my most comfortable bra EVER. There is a DD+ version and A-D below in Black and Nude.

HOW TO STYLE YOUR V NECK T’S?

The V necks are my personal favourites, especially the 3/4 sleeve. The Black 3/4 sleeve is definitely my most worn top from the entire collection casual or smart. This is because I am an hourglass shape with a medium size bust, I find this style very flattering and comfortable.

The 3/4 sleeve V Neck T can be dressed up or down very well, it can even pair with more formal work-wear. Tuck into jeans, trousers or a skirt with a belt and blazer.

The T-shirts will look great with anything other than formal work-wear. You could pair with jeans, skirts, leggings and chino style bottoms with a biker jacket, blazer, open cardigan or shirt.

THE CREW NECK RANGE

Known as a round neck, this classic style will accentuate your face and shoulders. This is always the most popular and versatile neckline for a cotton Tee.

WHO WILL SUIT A CREW NECKLINE?

A round neck gives great definition to the shoulder and neck area, this ideal for anyone with sloping shoulders and smaller busts. I recommend this neckline most for rectangle, Pear and Hourglass can wear too depending on bust size.

WHAT ABOUT THE SLEEVE, STYLE AND FIT?

The round neck styles are available in short T shirt length and full length sleeve.

Long sleeves – are very flattering on rectangle body shape, if you are a pear or hourglass I suggest rolling your sleeves up towards your elbows. The short sleeve round T is available in a more fitted or relaxed.

The long sleeve T’s are available in a full body suit or standard length top you can wear out or tucked it. If you only plan to wear it tucked in, the body suit is an amazing option. Both styles are very stretch and fitted materials but thick enough to not feel or look unflattering.

The short sleeve T – comes in a fitted stretch and relaxed style, I am wearing the fitted shape below, this style looks great tucked in, the relaxed T looks better over the top of jeans for a relaxed casual look. The relaxed fit is a lovely softer and thicker stretch cotton while the fitted is a thinner stretch cotton. Both great investments!

WHICH BRA SHOULD YOU WEAR?

The multiway is thee perfect bra for a round neck T, take it from me I’ve tested it out. Your bust needs to be a little more concealed and smooth with a T. We want to avoid any cleavage enhancing bras or plunge style. There’s nothing worse than a 4 lump effect showing through your T. The smooth and structured cup pushes back in towards your bust rather than pushing it up. The Black and nude colours are a great investment if you can’t afford all 3 colours including white.

HOW TO STYLE YOUR CREW NECK TEE’S?

The round neck T-shirts look great under a blazer with jeans. I love the longer sleeve round necks under a gilet with jeans or tucked into a high waisted skirt or trousers for work wear.

THE SCOOP NECK RANGE

Scoop necks are a friend to almost all body types! This deeper, wider neckline style will draw the eye downward, lengthening your neck and accentuating your collarbone.

I highly recommend the wide scoop for smaller busts, Rectangle and Pear shapes as it gives the illusion of wider shoulders. The smaller scoop will look best on an hourglass, pear, inverted triangle and larger busts. There is also a great relaxed T option that will look great on an Apple shape.
