On Wednesday 1st November I had the pleasure of attending Topshop Metrocentre’s first Blogger event, for an evening of A/W Fashion, Pizza & Cocktails.
I took my lovely Friend Amy along as my Plus one, you remember crazy Amy from my Online personal shopping blog? We had so much fun together.
It was a great evening with a lovely group of North East bloggers, made fun by our amazing and crazy host Aneesha from the Topshop Team.
AND we left with a fab goodie bag including a personalised Topshop Shopper bag.
The evening started off with Aneesha covering the top 3 trends for A/W at Topshop for 2017 followed by 2 great Style Challenges….
The 3 key A/W 17 trends at Topshop she covered are……..
1.RODEO ROCK
Sumptuous crushed pink velvet and fur mixed with textures and details such as black suede/leather, silver studs, tassel chains, embroidered roses and black mesh lace. Imagine cow girl meets little house on the prairie. So chic and rock glam, liking it.
I am loving the Pink velvet suit from this collection, it also comes in a beautiful Mustard colour which Aneesha was wearing. This suit comes in Petite and Tall sizes too yay!

2. SPORTS LUXE
This trend very much has a 90’s Pop vibe. Think Hi-shine vinyl, 90’s lyric Tees and heavy metal details. The colours are acid bright, block or striped and sports inspired. I think of it as Spaceman meets East 17.
Here are a few items I would wear but this was my least favourite of the 3. I am loving the RUN DMC Tee from this trend though, it will look great dressed up or down.

3.POP HERITAGE
Can you tell which trend I would like the most? (cough…THIS ONE!) This is so up my style street. Traditional tailoring, classic indigo denim, feminine florals and check prints. It has a very contemporary feel with a few pops of fun colour in there. Love it, by far the most classy and my TOPSHOP TREND WINNER!
I am LOVING the red Beret from this collection, well I love it ALL but if I had to choose one item it would be that. It will make any daytime outfit look chic and on trend.

THEN……………
Followed by a 20 minute style challenge, in pairs we had to choose an outfit for each other from the store inspired by one of the trends Aneesha covered.
Here is what we came up with….
The best pair wins a £50 Topshop voucher, so fingers crossed for Saturday when they announce the winners.
Everyone chose lovely outfits. Call me biased but I think ours were obvz the best. We definitely know each other’s style well.
I opted for the Rodeo Rock trend for Amy, I knew the colour would match her soft colouring well and the straight lines of the suit worked for her inverted triangle shape. Plus, the vibe totally suits her style personality. She loved it!
Please note, her suit is showing low stock on-line but all sizes are available in store.
Amy opted for the Pop heritage trend for myself. Simple and classic with a trendy twist and pop of colour, she knows me well. She did amazing for her first time choosing an outfit for someone else. I LOVED IT, especially that Red Beret and Check Blazer.
The only thing I would have chosen differently for myself is a single button blazer to pull in my waist rather than double breasted.

The 2nd Style Challenge involved a fun Photo booth and Quay Australia’s beaut shades collection. I was pretty rubbish at this one, that flash was way too quick for lil me to pose.
Anyway, using your favourite shades in store it was time to get creative and sassy in that booth to produce the best shots of the night to win your chosen shades.
I’m not holding my breathe for winning this challenge lol, Amy however did a pretty funny ‘cousin it’ impression from the Adams family…..
I was loving the Black Audrey style shades.
Overall a great event and I literally wanted everything I tried on. Thank you to Topshop and Intu Metrocentre for a lovely evening.
AND thank you to Amy for being the BEST plus one.
As always, thanks for reading lovelies.
I’d LOVE to know which of the 3 Key trends is your favourite?
