I mean are you even going out-out if you don’t wear jeans and a nice top?
How many times do we ALL say this in our girls group chat when asked… What is everybody wearing? There was a few laughing emoji’s with friends over this last week.
Anyhoow, It’s a Sunday and its my Crossfit Gym Christmas party. We are going bowling for the afternoon, then out on the Town for drinks after.
I needed to wear an outfit that ticked all of these boxes:
- Be appropriate to bowl in.
- Comfortable heels that wouldn’t need taken off from 1pm-1am (ok 3am lol).
- Be warm enough to walk from bar to bar in Newcastle City.
- STILL look dressy and festive.
- ALL be available from my wardrobe.
Let’s be honest, only “Jeans and a nice top” would solve all of the above with block heels and a blazer.
And remember, I could only use what I have in my wardrobe for #12daysofchristmas.
There was ONE slight problem I had though, when I tried my outfit on together I realised my fave Topshop Joni jeans looked really faded, DAMMIT! My lovely Mum in law to be Pam, had been asking what I wanted for crimbo that day so guess what I got early? Some replacement black jeans, she saved the day.
Technically that’s ok right as I didn’t buy them?
This time I’ve converted to a high waist Jaime jean and I love them. The material is thicker and more holding than the Joni and very flattering. I prefer no pocket details on the front but they are very small.
I wear a tall 34′ leg and waist 28 (size 10).
You can’t go wrong with a pair of black skinny jeans, a top with some nice texture, colour or detail. I opted for my favourite black lace top because it instantly makes these Jeans look dressy.
Paired with a pop of leopard pint from my comfiest Dune block heel, my favourite tuxedo blazer and fur clutch.
We are comfy, classy and good to go people.
I danced all night in these shoes and didn’t take them off once, Blazer kept me warm outside but not too warm inside. Party perfecto.
