MAKE UP FOR EVER HITS NEWCASTLE

I LOVE make up as you’ll know if you follow me, not only am I Blogger but by trade I work for myself as a Stylist/Make Up artist in the North East too.

So when MAKE UP FOR EVER opened in my local Debenhams at Intu Metrocentre and called to invite me to an exclusive Blogger event, obviously I was there.

You don’t have to ask me twice to come and play with make up.

I am already familiar with the brand and a fan after using their products recently on a Make Up artist course I attended at the London School of Make up.

But after yesterday’s event I’m now slightly obsessed and I’m very particular about what products I use and add to my kit. So if I do, you know it’s good and I’ve tested it LOTS.

Until now you could only purchase MAKE UP FOR EVER on-line or at Sephora and other on line make up boutiques.

I like to try and test the textures/colours of products before I buy at the counters and now you can try MAKE UP FOR EVER too at your local Debenhams. YAY!

MAKE UP FOR EVER are famous for their HD range and is make up built to look amazing on Camera. Hence why every TV Make up artist has their products in their kit AND why Instagram and YouTube influencer’s have gone cray cray for it too.

The HD Hype is real lovelies, when I got home I sat on my door step and starting selfie snapping on my LUMIX G7 camera and literally said….. Oh WOW!

At the make up by the way, not at myself. Just thought I’d clear that one up.

I couldn’t believe the difference between the pictures oof my make up look on my iphone7 and camera. Obviously my camera is better quality and make up looked amaze on both but I can really see why the products are famous for their HD camera quality.

I loved learning all about the brand too and how it started….

I didn’t know MAKE UP FOR EVER was actually started by an artist who specialised in Body painting/Art. Professor meets Artist Dan Sanz launched the company and school in 1984, teaching her Make Up artistry by day and blending make up in her cellar by night. The rest is History.

Amazing and inspiring!

The Team were SO lovely too, I had such a laugh. They really know their products but have a friendly non intimidating approach. The company definitely employs creative ladies with a personality.

Shannon was a little bit obsessed with my camera, she is definitely a blogger in the making and was so lovely helping take pictures of my makeover with Emily.

NOW let’s get down to the products, here is a breakdown of what she used on my face AND my faves that passed the kit test.

Processed with VSCO with a6 preset

You can purchase the products below but I highly recommend visiting your local Debenhams to get colour matched and play with the products before committing to buying.

BASE

She primed my skin with 2 of the Skin Equalizer range, first my T Zone with a mattifying primer  and 2nd Nourishing primer on my cheek area as I have combination skin. Next she used the MATTE VELVET Foundation in shade 30 all over my face with the most amazing foundation brush, I’ve never seen a brush like it before. Concealed under my eyes with the Ultra HD Concealer which is WOW, I love coverage under my eyes that doesn’t dry it or sit in the fine lines I’m getting now im 30!! AND lastly set my T zone (forehead, nose and chin) with the Ultra HD Loose powder, it felt bizarre between my fingers but my god it made my nose look poreless.

FACE

Leaving my cheeks powder free she then contoured, blush and highlighted with one of my fave products of the event, the Pro Sculpting Palette which is an amazing 4-in-1 product that comes in 4 shades for all skin tones. Followed by a little extra Bronzer in places around my face to intensify the contouring and add a touch of colour, this product looks powdery but doesn’t look or feel it on the skin and is waterproof. AND Finally my product obsession, HIGHLIGHTERS. Emily added a little va va voowm to my cheek bone area with Pro Light fusion highlighter in Golden, it is OMG.

EYES

I loved the red eye and lip combo to make my green eyes pop and the Artist metallic eye shadow in Magma looked fab in and around my eye socket. Over my entire lid she patted the gold Flash color pot with her finger, glitter heaven. Mascara and eyeliner were already on from my own kit (Lancome Hypnose drama waterproof in Black and Bobbi brown gel liner, shade Black).

LIPS

Love the Aqua lip liner in an Orange/Red 8c she used, a great waterproof formula that didn’t budge all night with Artist rouge creme lip in Orange c304.
